It was a wonderful experience sharing the same screen with the movie star at the Ventura Mall Ibadan. We were caught unaware after about 15 minutes into the movie when it was paused and the hall lights were back on, I initially thought it was a technical fault until She stood up amidst the crowd to appreciate us all for coming around to watch “Ghetto Bred”. She requested for pictures together after which she gave us a ghetto bred labelled souvenir with her autograph.

The film, it was a proper day to day Nigerian comedy movie, laying emphasis on the character of a young lady (Efe played by Eniola Badmus) who had been cooked with arrogance and cruelty out of the orientation life and environment had taught and offered her after the peril of her parents at a tender age. Her only surviving brother was always nagging and find it difficult to make a reasonable correction to her miscreant lifestyle. Until she met a guy (Ushbebe) of almost equal virtue and ghetto morals. Who proposed to her and won over her heart crazily before she met a more responsible man (Ninalowo) who is ready to sacrifice anything for her happiness.

The only negative side of this movie is that, the ghetto side which has been preached by the title was only being depicted in the cinematography and not the movie itself. Ghetto locations were used, undisputed, but apart from the first gambling scene. The rest were pictures for us to view. Even the garage and its drivers were not ghetto-ish enough. The agbero was looking like a fine boy. Apart from Efe who showed the ghetto vigour and vim, no other participating actors and actresses were ghetto enough in character. And the major locations too were not that of a ghetto.

Overall, It is a very interesting movie to watch, you won’t ever regret it.
